snowflake challenge #7

Software
Krita - My preferred art program coming from someone who used to use Clip Studio Paint. Functions very well. Has a easy to understand brush creator along with a forum dedicated to brushes and add-ons created by the community. One interesting part about it is there's a composition tool that saves your layer visibilities so you can create different compositions. Has a lot of texture-based brushes.
References
Posemaniacs - 3d poses for artists
Pose Archive - Real humans posing for artists.
Adorkastock - More real humans that are posing for artist references.
Youtubers
Proko - Teaches art fundamentals on youtube, especially good for gestures and figure drawings.
Marc Brunet - Is a bit much in terms of encouraging unrealistic work schedules, but has a lot of videos on art productivity, training, schedules, etc, that may be of use.
Tainosuke - Short, helpful videos on how to draw more realistically.
Minimoo Illustration - An illustrator that talks about her process in having an art business.
Love Life Drawing - fundamental art skills for life drawings.
Sinix Design - Digital Painter that has some good tutorials
Misc. Websites
Ctrlpaint - Free digital painting tutrials that range in simplicity from how to undo something to more complex topics like how to use gradient maps.
Drawabox - Honestly even if you don't finish this, doing part one's lesson with line control helps a lot. It's a resource that focuses on the technical side of art fundamentals.
Radiorunner's Curriculum for the Solo Artist - An entire curriculum based on majority free or easily accessible resources.
Productivity Planning
Make your own work schedule - An idea for how to create your own personalized work schedule...for artists!

Lesson 1 from Draw A Box - Specifically, ignore everything else and focus entirely on the line exercise. It's exhausting, it sucks, but its pretty much what I did when I was a kid an first learning how to use a pencil. Lines over top of lines, ghosting, learning how to do a continuous line, learning how to draw with your arm, these are important things to at least attempt once.
Figure Drawing from Proko - If you planning on drawing humans or humanoids, figure drawing is one of the more important things to learn. Proko on Youtube has a lot of resources for drawing the human body. I like the bean method the most.
Ctrl Paint - Refer to this as often as you have questions about how to do something in digital art.
References - Alway draw based off of references. Observation is the single most important skill.
